Besides looking for visible evidence of termite infestation, we use an inferred camera on the internal walls and floors. If any moisture reading is detected, this could mean there are active termites or possibly water penetration problems within the walls or floors.

If a further investigation is needed, an invasive inspection is available. An invasive inspection entails we drill a small hole, about the size of the end of a pen, we drill into the wall where the high moisture reading was obtained. We install the borescope into the wall cavity; a borescope contains a powerful light source which allows us to determine what may be making the damp readings or hiding in the walls.

If you would like full peace of mind then you should consider a termite prevention.

We will then discuss all your options, and give you a full quotation on the control of any termites or any advice on any past termite damage.

If you are having your home inspected for potential termites then we can help you with the process, if you are buying a home then you may need a pre-purchase inspection

  • Clearing the home interior and exterior from clutter or stored items were can.
  • Opening garage doors so that the garage is accessible.

Termidor Dusting
Termidor Dust is applied by professional Pest Control Operators directly onto the termites, either inside your house or onto activity around the yard . The dust is a non-repellant chemical which transfers itself throughout the colony, termite by termite. By the time they begin feeling the effects, it’s too late, the colony has received a lethal dose. Numerous dustings may be necessary to claim elimination.

Important!
The dusting process is usually Stage 1 of a 2 stage termite treatment program. The second stage involves placement of a chemical barrier in the ground or use of some additional strategy.

Chemical Barriers
Termite chemical barriers or treated zones (using liquid termiticides) stop subterranean termites gaining concealed access into your property.

Chemical barriers can be used as a prevention and/or treatment.
Non-repellent termicides are preferred and should be re-applied approx every 3-5 years.

Our products and procedures represent the very latest products and application techniques to ensure effective control with minimum impact on the environment, people and non target species. Using Integrated Pest Management techniques, we also advise on solutions to the issues that can cause an infestation such as moisture, hygiene, ventilation and other conditions pests find attractive

Monitoring Stations and Baiting
An important part of any defence strategy is the versatility and present or on the move.

Proven Pest And Termite Control can provide monitoring systems designed to detect termite activity.

We install non-obtrusive monitoring stations in outdoor areas where subterranean termites are likely to forage.

The In-ground stations are specially designed to be installed into the ground to intercept the subterranean termites. The station will not attract termites to your property – the termites are already there.

Once termite activity is detected, we can then bait them or treat them with Termidor dust.
